SKY KOREA COMPLETES DELIVERY OF SCISSOR LIFTS TO S RENTAL
Skyjack has completed a significant order for DC electric scissor lifts to S Rental, one of South Korea’s largest equipment hire companies. The order includes SJIII 3219, SJIII 4632 and SJIII 3226 models. All were delivered through dealership Sky Korea.
Skyjack has been the market-leading brand of access equipment in the South Korean market since the mid-1990s. Customers in the country appreciate the strong value and ease of maintenance that are hallmarks of the equipment, and the machines are becoming increasingly popular in the semi-conductor industry where operators use them for indoor facility maintenance, according to Skyjack’s South Korea manager, Steve Paik:
“The overall market outlook in South Korea is positive and this delivery to S Rental underlines the market leadership of Skyjack in the country,” he said. “Korea’s semi-conductor industry is also going from strength to strength with industry giants like Samsung and LG leading the global market. With demand from this sector on the rise, we expect to increase our business even further in future.”
The SJIII 3219, SJIII 4632 and SJIII 3226 from the DC electric scissor range are designed for indoor use at industrial or commercial locations, and offer zero- emissions and silent operation. All three come with a standard warranty of two years.
The SJIII 4632 is the biggest in the DC electric scissor line from Skyjack. It has a platform height of 9.75 m which equates to a working height of 11.58 m. The two-man platform has an impressive capacity of 318 kg, and the inside platform length of 2.1 m can be further extended by 1.2 m once the extension deck is rolled out.
The SJIII 3219 has a 5.79m raised platform height which equates to a working height of 7.62 m. An industry-leading category class capacity of 249 kg allows for a wide variety of installation and maintenance tasks. Platform length, as measured from the inside, is 1.63 m and this can be extended by a further 0.91 m with the roll-out extension deck, for a greater working area. Featuring a 0.91m roll out extension deck, the SJIII 3226 offers work heights of up to 9.75m and 30% gradeability. The durable steel swing-out component trays provide unrestricted access for easy maintenance and service.
“Known for its simple design and reliable functionality, as well as a low total cost of ownership, Skyjack machines are becoming more attractive to South Korean customers who are pressed to drive down costs and increase business competitiveness,” said Simon Cracknell, Skyjack’s business development director for Asia “We will strengthen the accessibility and availability for our parts network in this region and we remain committed to delivering top-class service support to our loyal customers.”
SKY Korea has its head office in Ilsan City, next to Busan, in the south-east of the country. S Rental has over nine years of combined construction equipment rental and mobile crane experience. The company purchased its first Skyjack machine in 2012. It has its headquarters in Osan, and the company also has a branch in Chung-ju.
