APRIL 12, 2023; Linamar Corporation’s (TSX:LNR) Skyjack announces a significant move in its continued expansion in the Asia Pacific market with the appointment of Eric Kim as General Manager for Skyjack Korea.

Obtaining a Masters of Business Administration at Hanyang University, Kim has been with Linamar Automotive Systems Korea since 2005. In his new role, Kim will be responsible for all aspects of Skyjack Korea’s operations including sales, service, parts and distribution.

“We are thrilled to have Eric as General Manager,” said Chan Tran, Vice President of Operations, Skyjack Asia Pacific. “As a longtime member of the Linamar team we have confidence that Eric will lead growth in the region while staying consistent with our key value of being easy to do business with.”

Skyjack recently announced a global transformation of its manufacturing footprint, a growth set to represent a potential unit capacity increase of 235% worldwide when compared to 2022. Focusing on an “in the region, for the region” approach, the Asia Pacific region will see phase two of their recently opened China based manufacturing facility come on line in Q3 of 2023 following the development of a 400,000 sq ft greenfield facility.

With new and expanding facilities across several continents, Kim’s announcement plays a large role in the company’s growth, specifically in the Asia Pacific region.
