February 13, 2025; Linamar Corporation’s (TSX:LNR) Skyjack division announces the handover of the first SJ45 AJE+ and SJ60 AJE+ battery powered electric rough terrain articulated booms in Australia. Height 4 Hire and Global Hire & Services took the first of both models, with delivery to the Height 4 Hire Brisbane location on Tuesday, January 28th.
On site for the delivery were Ken Baker, Owner and Managing Director at Height 4 Hire, Ryan Creighton, Owner and Sales Director at Global Hire and Services, and Jason Cranmer, Sales and Operations Director at Skyjack Australia.
Established in 2010, Height 4 Hire is proudly Queensland’s largest privately owned and operated supplier of access hire and scissor lift hire equipment. They have become well known in the hire industry for providing reliable, safe, and well-maintained equipment. A fully owned subsidiary of Height 4 Hire, Global Hire and Services has an extensive range of equipment available for various sectors of the building, construction, mining and manufacturing industries. Notably, Global is able to not only hire, but also service equipment throughout regional Queensland from Bowen to Cape York.
“Height 4 Hire and Global have always been at the forefront of supplying the newest technology in equipment to our customers, the Skyjack electric knuckle booms again offer us this opportunity,” said Ken Baker, Managing Director, Height 4 Hire.
Skyjack’s new range provides a clean, quiet, sustainable rental solution with no emissions, lower operating costs and increased utilization. Available with 51ft (15.7m) and 66ft (20.1m) working heights and suitable for indoor and outdoor use, Skyjack’s new SJ45 AJE + and SJ60 AJE + models utilize all-electric axle-based drive for excellent traction, while high performance AC electric traction and pump motors deliver high torque power and consistent multi-function capability.
The new models boast exceptional duty cycle performance, capable of supporting more than a typical full day’s use of machine operation. An additional 30 minutes of reserve allows the units to operate in stowed drive for travel to a charging point.
“Our customers have been excited for some time now ever since I told them we are purchasing the electric knuckles,” explained Ryan Creighton, Owner and Sales Director, Global Hire and Services. “I can’t wait to deliver them to job sites and hear the feedback. Thank you Jason and team for showcasing the new electric range.”
“We’re thrilled to complete the first handover of our new electric booms and I couldn’t think of two better recipients than Height 4 Hire and Global Hire and Services,” shared Jason Cranmer, Sales and Operations Director at Skyjack Australia. “Both are known for their reliability and dependability, making our E-Booms great additions to their fleets.”
Skyjack launched the SJ45 AJE + and SJ60 AJE + in its EAME and Australian regions with a CE and AS certification.
