Skyjack donates to Shaanxi Charity -WE RISE China
POSTED May 10, 2021
Skyjack held a WE RISE Campaign in 2020 to highlight positive steps people are taking to get back to growth during COVID-19 and its aftermath. In doing so, Skyjack has adopted a quotation that seem to fit the spirit of the access rental industry, which is attributed to the 19th century writer and orator, Robert R Ingersoll: “We rise by lifting others”.
In 2020, lots of school were closed due to COVID-19, and some schools took the opportunity to perform maintenance work and welcome the students back to a refreshed school after the epidemic. Shun Tong provided a Skyjack SJ63 AJ to repair the walls of the school and repaint them. “It is our pleasure to help the school to do something to welcome back the students, and as a local citizen I am very proud to contribute my efforts to conquer the tough time” said Mr. Yang—GM of Shun Tong Rental.
“I was very excited to be featured in this campaign and grateful for the recognition. WE RISE is a very meaningful campaign which shows our social responsibility and the love for the society. There is a saying in China that says, “everyone should be concerned about the rise and fall of the world,” when the country faces danger, we all should do our part.”
To thank you for Shun Tong’s contribution, Skyjack had decided to donate USD1,000 to their delegate charity “Shaanxi Charity Association” as the scholarship to the students in poverty.
Shaanxi Charity Association established in 1996 and raised more than CNY 5.7 billion charitable funds and goods, more than 17,000 charitable projects have been carried out, and tens of millions of people in need have been helped.
“It is very moving to look back at the unforgettable 2020. China is the first place of reported cases of COVID-19 and also one of the first countries to control it,” says Simon Cracknell - Sales, Operations and Market Development Director of Skyjack Asia. “We appreciated our customer using Skyjack equipment in “lifting others” and I am also proud of be the member of Skyjack to involved in such a significant activity. Just like our President says “Tough time doesn’t last but tough teams do”. Now with the advent of a vaccines it gives us more hope that life will return to normal soon.”
